Nanga Parbat is located at an elevation of 8126 metres and it is known as the 9th highest mountain in the world. The mountain lies in the region of Himalayan range. It is locally known by the name ‘Diamer’ as it is located in the Diamer district of North Pakistan. The name when joined together means Naked Mountain. It is an interesting name and the reason behind it is that it has several steep slopes which are not covered in snow mostly.
