Trekking on Batura glacier (one of the longest , around 65 km.) is fascinating experience and an easy stroll along the flower filled ablation and crossing glacier. It offers opportunity to see the life of Wakhis people of upper Hunza and also provides breathtaking views of high Peaks like Ultar (7,388 m.), Shispare (7,611 m.), Passu peak (7,284 m.), Karun Koh (7,164 m.), and others peaks in the Shimshal region. From Fatimahil you can have an unforgettable view of the formidable North face of Battura massif. After halfway between Kukhil and Guchsum is the wide plateau of Shelmin where the Urthum brook flows from the North. The scenery will simply sweep you off your feet. See the itinerary section.
